Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich Kabobs with Strawberries

Equipment

  • 1 Wooden Skewer Caution, they're sharp! Adult supervision required
  • 1 sharp knife

Ingredients

  • 4 whole, fresh strawberries rinsed clean
  • 2 slices bread white or whole wheat
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter more or less, to taste (any kind)
  • 1/2 tbsp jelly more or less, to taste (any flavor)
  • 1 wooden skewer

Instructions

  • Cut the top off the strawberries and take out the hull by using a sharp knife.
  • Slice each strawberry in half vertically.
  • Spread peanut butter on one or both sides of the bread.
  • Add jelly on top and spread until smooth.
  • Place one piece of bread on top of the other so that the peanut butter and jelly are in the middle.
  • Cut sandwich into four equal squares.
  • Pierce the middle of one square onto wooden skewer, sliding it down to the bottom.
  • Pierce a strawberry half through skewer and slide it down until it touches the first square. Repeat layers until each sandwich square has been slid onto the skewer.
  • Serve with the rest of the strawberry halves. Enjoy!
